DUI & Commercial Licenses

A DUI arrest can be daunting for anyone. But if you drive a commercial vehicle for a living, it can harm your ability to provide for your family and continue in your career field. If you have been arrested for DUI, you are facing a one-year suspension of your commercial driver's license (CDL) and the possibility of revocation if you are convicted on subsequent offenses.

Working To Protect Your License So You Can Make Your Living

In Mississippi, the legal blood alcohol concentration limit is .04 for commercial drivers. That can be as little as a drink depending on a number of factors, placing commercial drivers at an increased risk of being pulled over for DUI.

If you have been arrested for DUI, I will work to protect your rights and obtain the best possible outcome which, in most cases, is working with the prosecutor or district attorney to reduce charges to a nonalcohol-related charge. This could keep you out of jail and protect your CDL so you can continue to make a living as a driver. If you end up facing the DUI charge, I can work to find alternative sentencing options that protect your driving record.
