Graduated from Baylor High School, Chattanooga, TN, 1972. Admitted to University of Mississippi in 1972 with an initial major in pre-med which eventually changed to law school. Graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1975 with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and minor in English/political science and was admitted to University of Mississippi Law School in August, 1975. Interned with the County Attorney in Lee County in the fall of 1977. Obtained Juris Doctorate degree in December, 1977, and was admitted to the U. S. District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi and the Supreme Court of Mississippi and the Mississippi Bar in January, 1978. Upon graduating from law school, I opened my own law practice in Tupelo in 1978 and for a period of approximately two years, served as Youth Court prosecutor. I was also public defender in Lee County, Mississippi, for a four year term. Subsequently, I was elected to the Tupelo City Board of Aldermen and served four years as a member of the City Board of Aldermen in the City of Tupelo, MS. Subsequently, I moved my practice, approximately in 1992 or 1993, to Pontotoc and while in Pontotoc served as the commitment attorney and also served a public defender for both Justice Court and also on many cases in the Circuit Court. While living in Pontotoc, I was retained again as the public defender in Lee County for Justice Court and served about ten years in that position. Subsequently, I was retained in 2005 as the City Attorney for the City of Okolona, Mississippi, and I have served in that capacity for almost 12 years. I have handled almost all areas of law as the City Attorney for the City of Okolona, Mississippi.  I ran a successful campaign for County Prosecuting Attorney in Chickasaw County in 2015 and was elected as the County Attorney for Chickasaw County in which I serve in this part-time position at the present time. I also, in addition to serving as the City Attorney for the City of Okolona, serve as the attorney for the Okolona Housing Authority and also maintain my private law practice.
